An evening of Poetry with Robert Cowan and Allen Strouse

Join CUNY professors Robert Cowan and Allen Strouse for a presentation of their new collections of poetry.

When: Wednesday, October 10th at 6:30 PM

Where: Shakespeare & Co – 939 Lexington Avenue (corner of 69th Street)

 

Robert Cowan is a literature professor and dean at the City University of New York. He’s also the author of The Indo- German Identification: Reconciling South Asian Origins and European Destinies, 1765-1885 (Camden House, 2010) and Teaching Double Negatives: Disadvantage and Dissent at Community College (Peter Lang, 2018).

This is his first collection of poetry.

A.W. Strouse teaches medieval literature at CUNY and the New School. His works include My Gay Middle Ages (punctum books, 2015), Thebes (Jerk Poet, 2015), and Retractions and Revelations (Jerk Poet, 2014), as well as the short film “Mono Generation.” Strouse is also the author of many kick-ass essays and peer-reviewed articles.
