Deadline extended to March 17, 2017
ACERT invites Hunter faculty to submit proposals for Faculty Innovations in Teaching and Technology (FITT) 2017. FITT is a competitive program for faculty seeking to enhance student learning in innovative ways. FITT awardees undertake creative pedagogical experiments and explore emerging technologies within a vibrant community committed to sharing experiences and expertise. FITT fosters a culture of assessment and encourages faculty to contribute to the scholarship of teaching and learning. Proposals for collaborative projects are welcome, in addition to individual projects.
Full-time faculty from all schools at Hunter and adjunct faculty who have taught at Hunter for at least three years are eligible to submit a proposal. Faculty whose projects are selected receive a $2000 stipend, paid upon successful completion of the project, and assistance conceptualizing, developing, implementing, and assessing their project. FITT awardees plan their projects with the help of a mentor throughout the summer, culminating in an end-of-summer event to celebrate the launch of their innovations.
