You work hard at teaching – have you thought about turning that hard work into publications? The “scholarship of teaching and learning”, known as SoTL, can be a wonderful way to amplify our portfolio of publications, while also validating the work of teaching in our fields and advancing ourselves as reflective practitioners.

In this session, Laura Baecher will provide an introduction to the basic steps in conducting SoTL. A panel of faculty who participated in Laura’s recent Teaching Scholarship Circle which will share their experience/journey/learning about doing research on their pedagogy. Mark Hauber from the Provost’s office will serve as discussion facilitator.
