Morning Writing Sessions (Feb 16–27)
During HunterWrites, ACERT is excited to offer weekday morning writing sessions on Zoom from 8:00–9:00 AM, in addition to our regular weekly writing groups.
These sessions are designed as focused, supportive writing time – come as you are, write what you can, and start your day in community with fellow Hunter writers.
Bonus: ACERT Morning Writing is also a great way to participate in the NCFDD 14-Day Writing Challenge, which supports the development of consistent writing habits through accountability, structure, and progress tracking. Our daily sessions align perfectly with the challenge’s goals and timeline. Register for the challenge here.

Thursday Feb 26, 2-4pm, Interactive Writing Feedback Workshop w/Sofy Solomon
WHAT TO BRING
Participants can bring up to 500 words of writing (it can be a stand-alone piece or an excerpt from something longer). All forms of writing are accepted (i.e. screenplay, nonfiction, poetry, fiction, song lyrics, etc) and at all stages (first draft, final draft, anything in between). We just ask that you refrain from using any explicit/offensive content.
HOW IT WORKS
Each piece will be read aloud anonymously, on a first-come, first-serve basis, followed by a brief group discussion. Everyone will leave with written notes from the group. You can bring a print out of your work or upload your work online anytime before the start time of the workshop.
PROGRAM FACILITATOR
Sofy Solomon is a media professional committed to developing storytellers, everywhere. Sofy has created writing programs for Sesame Street, Disney, the New York Public Library and more, and she is building a digital anonymous writing exchange, The Thread. She also works as an independent producer/talent manager, representing a diverse roster of artists whose work has been featured at Netflix, Apple, DreamWorks and more. www.sofysolomon.com
