Videos are playing an increasingly valuable role in education, with a growing number of educators seeking ways to use them to enhance learning experiences. Vialogues is an award-winning platform that fosters discussions and reflections around videos through its unique time-stamped commenting technology. In this presentation, Hunter faculty member Laura Baecher and members from Edlab, Columbia University will introduce this tool and discuss its pedagogical potentials in higher education. Laura will share examples of how she has used Vialogues as a tool to conduct post-observation discussions between teacher candidates and clinical supervisors in Hunter’s School of Education.
