On February 8th, Lisa Wade will be discussing her book, “AMERICAN HOOKUP: The New Culture of Sex on Campus,” which explores the culture of sex found in many American college campuses today. Lisa argues that today’s hookup culture equates college with freedom, fun, and casual sex. However, there are good, bad, and even ugly sides to this type of campus life.

CUNY Academic Commons Faculty Fellowships – Spring 2017

The CUNY Academic Commons (CAC), in collaboration with the Graduate Center’s Teaching and Learning Center (TLC), requests applications for CUNY Academic Commons Faculty Fellowships for the Spring 2017 semester. CAC Faculty Fellows will have the opportunity to teach a course using the CUNY Academic Commons during the Spring 2017 semester with dedicated technical and pedagogical support from the CAC and the TLC teams. Proposals must be submitted by midnight on November 15, 2016.

Day of DigPed: Workshop topic announced

ACERT will be hosting a workshop on creating open access digital books as part of our May 3 Day of Digital Pedagogy. This hands-on workshop, led by Jack Dougherty (Professor of Educational Studies, Trinity College), will feature the open-source Pressbooks platform, a WordPress derivative that generates books in multiple formats.
