On May 3, ACERT will celebrate the winners of two prizes honoring innovations in teaching and learning. The Faculty Assignment Prize will recognize faculty members who have created the best assignments featuring digital pedagogy. Winners will receive gift certificates to Shakespeare & Co. The Student Writing Prize will recognize students who have created the best examples of “digital writing” in a recent course at Hunter. Winners will receive cash prizes of $250, $100, and $50. Entries for both prizes should be submitted by Friday, April 8.
These awards are part of ACERT’s Day of Digital Pedagogy, which also includes a keynote address and workshop given by Jack Dougherty (Associate Professor of Education, Trinity College). Jack is author of the award-winning More Than One Struggle: The Evolution of School Reform in Milwaukee (University of North Carolina Press, 2004) and has co-written and co-edited several influential open-access volumes on digital humanities scholarship and pedagogy.
