Digital Humanities (DH) uses computational tools to inform and augment traditional humanities and social sciences research. Despite a proliferation of DH tools, which allow for textual analysis, data mining and visualization, and digital publishing, simply accessing and configuring these tools can be significant barriers to use for many humanities practitioners. Enter DH Box, a ready-to-use computer in the cloud, prepared with a selected set of pre-configured DH tools. Accessible from anywhere, DH Box includes tools for building online collections (Omeka), text mining and topic modeling (MALLET), statistical analysis and data visualization (R-Studio), and more. DH Box also makes it easier to introduce DH into the classroom, ensuring uniform device configuration and facilitating real-time collaboration between students and professors.
