Basia Winograd is a writer and filmmaker who’s been teaching Creative Writing at Hunter College since 2016. She holds an MFA in Film Directing from Columbia University (2006), and an MFA in Creative Writing from Hunter College (2016). Her documentaries have been part of BBC and other international television programming. Most recently, she’s been collaborating with psychoanalysts to create interview-based video projects that examine themes of race and racism through a psychoanalytic lens. In 2021, Basia received a fellowship from The Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture to support the research and completion of her novel, Noble Delusions.
