Creating open and respectful communication and a welcoming and inclusive learning environment are well-known strategies to help build a positive classroom culture. But how do you go about it in practice – especially when the semester is already a few weeks in and it can be hard at times to keep the outside world from coming into the classroom? Presenters in this session will share their strategies and activities for setting up classroom norms and guidelines from the syllabus to the day-to-day at any point of the semester.
