Making Assessment Work: Curriculum Development through Assessment

When: March 26, 2019, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Where: Charlotte Frank Classroom (1203 HE)

Presenter(s): Joel Bloom (Office of Assessment); Liz Cohn (Nursing); Rob Cowan (Office of the Dean); Kristen Hodnett (Special Education)

Assessment is now ubiquitous at Hunter, but it can be hard to figure out how to use the data generated by assessment in order to shape curriculum and teaching for the better. How do we make the leap from performing assessment to reforming the pedagogical practices assessed? In this seminar, we will discuss best practices for designing assessments that feed back meaningfully into curriculum development, and we will hear from representatives of different schools and programs about how they have implemented what they learned from assessment in their courses and teaching.

If you’d like to register as a presenter for this event, please do so as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. Sign up here.
