Presenter(s): Center for Online Learning instructional designers and you!
Fridays, 1-2pm
Learn about generative AI through guided, hands-on experience. Every month, instructional designers will give you an overview of a tool that takes advantage of modern artificial intelligence. Explore text generators, music composers, and image generators to get a better sense of the capabilities of the technologies you can use to support learning in class.
This session will focus on text generators: Gemini (Google), Copilot (Bing).
5 minutes: Get to know your peers and where their curiosities are in the tool.
10 minutes: We’ll break down the basics and how to get the most out of the highlighted tool.
20 minutes: Play with the tool! Take time to independently explore the tool while you have easy access to instructional designers to ask questions.
20 minutes: Regroup and share your findings. How could this tool augment your assignments? How could you use it to build educational content?
