When: October 8, 2026, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Presenter(s): Gina Riley and Christina Katopodis (ACERT)
How do we make the transition from the hierarchical, inequitable, output-driven academy we inherited from the nineteenth century to a higher education that empowers all students to be their own best selves, modeling a democratic society? How do we make this transition in our own classrooms? In this interactive workshop, ACERT presents what the latest science of learning tells us about inclusive learning. We share active learning grab-and-go activities that anyone can adapt easily and effectively to increase student motivation and engagement in courses.
