JustPublics@365, a large project funded by the Ford Foundation, produced a Participatory Open Online Course (POOC), during the spring semester of 2013. The interdisciplinary course focused on inequality broadly and in the specific neighborhood of East Harlem. The course was cross-listed in several departments at Graduate Center and, by design, open to any CUNY students, to citizens of East Harlem and the world. Open access readings were essential to the course. JustPublics@365 collaborated intensely with Graduate Center librarians and with participating faculty to produce scholarship in legitimately open access forms appropriate for the course. 
The speakers will discuss their collaboration and suggest some implications for the future of teaching and learning in the digital age.
