Ally, a tool integrated into Blackboard, is designed to help professors improve the accessibility of online course content by flagging content that is not accessible and suggesting ways to make it accessible. In this workshop, we will go over how to use Ally’s accessibility rating system to optimize your course content for accessibility, with a focus on how to remediate content that Ally rates poorly for accessibility. We will also discuss Ally’s student-facing features, including the ability to transcode your course content to different formats, such as HTML, braille, and audio.
