The ability to think critically about quantitative issues is an essential skill for our students. Did you know that Hunter has Quantitative Reasoning (QR) Fellows who can help you integrate quantitative reasoning in a wide range of classes? In this presentation, Hunter’s QR Fellows and their faculty mentors will discuss the QR program and will lead a series of interactive activities that could be used in classes at Hunter. The presenters will then facilitate a brainstorming session, so that all attendees leave the session with an an idea for a QR activity that could be incorporated in a course that they teach. We will also discuss how to target at-risk students, and plans to develop a community website that will be used to share QR lesson plans and examples with the Hunter community. Attendees will have an opportunity to submit requests for topics for which they would like our QR Fellows to develop additional activities.
