Special Visit to Frick Madison for Hunter Faculty & Staff

When: September 21, 2022, 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Presenter(s): Caitlin Hennigsen (The Frick Collection)

ACERT invites you to a special guided visit to Frick Madison, the temporary home of The Frick Collection, just a 10-minute walk from Hunter’s main campus.

Join us on Wednesday, September 21, from 2:30-4:00pm to experience the museum’s collection with your Hunter colleagues, and get inspired for a future visit with your students!

The Frick Collection is a cultural partner of Hunter College. Current Hunter students and faculty receive free +1 admission, and the Frick offers free online guided visits to Hunter classes and groups (in-person visits on days when the museum is closed to the public are also available upon request). These visits, focused on close and sustained looking at selected works from the collection, build analytical and descriptive skills, and can be tailored to meet a wide range of curricular goals.

During our special visit, museum educator Caitlin Henningsen will introduce us to the museum’s current home, and lead us in a dialogue and closer look at its collection. The guided visit will run from 2:30pm to 3:30pm, and participants are welcome to explore the fourth floor of the museum on their own until 4pm.

This event is open to all Hunter faculty and staff, but space is limited. Please register here to reserve a spot.

Please arrive at the side entrance of Frick Madison, located at 30 East 75th Street. Masks are strongly encouraged for all visitors to Frick Madison. You can find their safety guidelines here.
