A primary goal of study abroad education programs entails navigating cultural, linguistic, and geographic differences. This seminar will explore how U.S. students experience transcultural understanding in study abroad programs while maintaining the academic standards of their home institution. In this panel discussion, faculty, students, and staff members will provide sample lesson plans from their own study abroad experiences. These authentic learning designs move away from traditional classroom-based models of instruction and implement a field-based approach.
