What Makes an Honors Course

This seminar will discuss what constitutes an honors course at Hunter College. Panelists will discuss the criteria for honors courses and their experiences teaching honors courses: what they teach as honors, how it fits the description of honors, and how that differs from non-honors courses. There will be presentations from panelists Richard Belsky, professor of History and Chair of Senate Committee on Honors, Gerald Press, professor of Philosophy and Chair of Thomas Hunter Honors Program, and Yujia Xu, professor of Chemistry.
