When History Comes to Life: Experiential Pedagogy in the World Language and Social Sciences Classrooms

On Friday, November 15th, ACERT is helping to organize a pedagogy conference entitled “When History Comes to Life: Experiential Pedagogy in the World Language and Social Sciences Classrooms.” The conference will take place from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm at the 68th Street campus and will showcase strategies to introduce and weave historical topics into the world language and social sciences curriculum in grades 7-16 and beyond. It will include presentations by secondary educators and college instructors, keynote speeches by Clare Carroll (RSA) and Dennis Looney (MLA), and a live demonstration by historians Elizabeth and Thomas Cohen from York University, Toronto.
The conference is free for CUNY faculty and full-time CUNY students, but space is limited.
