We all use Wikipedia to find out answers to our questions – whether we admit it or not. But did you know Wikipedia can actually be used as a teaching tool? In this lunchtime seminar, you will hear from faculty who are using Wikipedia to teach writing, critical thinking, and research skills and in the process are helping teach students to be informed consumers and producers of information. The presenters will provide examples of possible assignments and include some best practices for using Wikipedia in the classroom.
