Act I: Ways to Connect with Students on the First Day of Class

In this workshop, presenters share a variety of approaches to the first day of class, including icebreakers with TopHat; sharing writing challenges and joys; syllabus annotation with Hypothes.is; and Entry Tickets and Think-Pair-Share prompts to create community on Day 1. Participants will walk away with fresh ideas for how to start the semester off on the right foot.
