Please share widely – this call is open to all Hunter faculty.
We invite applications for fellows to develop programming and resources addressing racial equity in the curriculum and advancing equitable teaching and learning at Hunter College.
The Curricular Enhancements Sub-Committee of the Presidential Task Force to Advance Racial Equity identified the following areas of focus: the use of inclusive language in the classroom; cultivating culturally relevant pedagogy; incorporating diversity, inclusion, and civic engagement into the curriculum; promoting student input and involvement; facilitating conversations about inequity in the classroom; connecting courses with cultural events in the city.
We welcome both projects that will offer programs and events to the college-wide faculty, and to faculty within specific fields, such as STEM.
This call is open to all Hunter faculty. We are looking for field and population diversity, and people with concrete ideas. You will work with ACERT in bringing this programming to the Hunter community. Fellows will start their work during the Spring 2022 semester, and for their yearlong commitment they will receive a 3-credit course release, subject to approval of their department chair, or a summer stipend. To apply, please fill out the form below, and include a statement of endorsement from your department. The deadline has been extended to March 7.
