The use of Open Educational Resources (OER) can benefit our students in many ways – by enriching your content with diverse resources, providing the latest information in your subject area, ensuring that course materials are available from the very first day of class, as well as eliminating the need for prohibitively expensive textbooks. Course design is essential to derive full benefit from the use of OER, making sure that all elements of the course are fully integrated, in alignment, and effectively deployed.
Join us on May 9, 2019 12:00-1:00 p.m. for “Innovative Course Design with OER” – a lunchtime webinar. Our faculty co-host will be Helen Chang, Adjunct Lecturer in Lehman’s Political Science Department, will share her experience in designing her course with OER.
This webinar will address how innovative design can support and enhance the use of Open Educational Resources (OER) in any class delivered as web-enhanced, hybrid or online. We will explore how seamless integration and design with OER in mind are essential elements for effective teaching and learning. We will also highlight the tools available to promote good design and implementation of OER.

About the webinar series:
These hour-long webinars are conveniently delivered online, and are easily accessed from desktop, phone, or tablet. Webinars are facilitated by the department of Online Education staff and each features a presentation by a faculty co-host with expertise on the topic. Attendees have time at the end of each webinar to comment, share their views, and to ask questions of presenters.
