As part of our endeavor to understand how to manage student use of a variety of generative AI platforms and to create appropriate classroom/departmental/college-wide policy, President Kirschner has invited Dr. Sree Sreenivasan to provide a general overview of higher education’s response to generative AI.
Dr. Sreenivasan is an academic and practitioner in journalism and communications, serving as the inaugural Marshall R. Loeb visiting professor at the Stony Brook University School of Journalism. In the past, he has served as the chief digital officer for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Columbia University, and the City of New York. His presentation should be especially helpful for faculty who are interested in integrating language regarding generative AI into their syllabi.
