As part of ACERT’s Welcome Events this September, a group of Hunter faculty visited Frick Madison, just a 10-minute walk from Hunter’s 68th Street Campus. We were welcomed by Associate Museum Educator Caitlin Henningsen, who led us in an closer look at two Rembrandt paintings at the museum. The Frick Collection is a cultural partner of Hunter College – learn how you and your students can explore the museum and their collection.

Free +1 Admission

CUNY students and faculty have free +1 admission to Frick Madison, plus a 20% discount at the museum café. Frick Madison is open Thursday-Sunday, 10am-6pm, until March 3, 2024.

Barkley L. Hendricks: Portraits at the Frick”: Teaching Resources & free programming

We developed teaching resources for teachers and faculty interested either in engaging with the exhibition “Barkley L. Hendricks: Portraits at the Frick” from the classroom or using the discussion questions and prompts for looking as a “worksheet” for independent, onsite visits.
We also have a number of free evening programs aimed at giving people extra opportunities to see the exhibition and to hear dedicated talks/conversations, enjoy refreshments, etc. Registration is open via the following links:
Friday, November 16, 4-8pm: Student Night (open to high school, college, graduate and continuing education students)
