Note from OER Librarians

The library buildings may be closed, but the librarians are still working remotely to help you with research, finding resources, and more. Our Ask a Librarian chat service is operating 24/7 with librarians available to answer your questions. If a Hunter or CUNY librarian is not available (in the middle of the night, for example), a librarian from another institution will work with you and refer the question to a Hunter librarian if necessary. You can also e-mail us and a librarian will get back to you.
In addition to providing real time assistance, we are creating and updating subject-specific research guides to ease the transition for students seeking research assistance. New guides include step by step instructions, screenshots, and other detailed information on how to find online resources through the library (and elsewhere). Check out newly updated guides for BiologySociologyHebrewAnthropologyPsychologyArt, and English 120. Also, faculty should be sure to check out our Open Educational Resources (OER) guide, which includes links to many free (or free for the duration) resources that may be useful.

If the guide for your subject area is not available (or needs to be updated), please feel free to contact us at oer@hunter.cuny.edu. Likewise, please let us know if you find any errors or omissions that need to be corrected in any of the updated guides. We will update this post as more guides are completed, so please check back for a full list of available guides.
